When it comes to houseboating over long weekends or during extended voyages, there are few boats that offer low operating costs and over-the-water comfort like this Adventure Craft houseboat. This Model combines utilitarian design and smart European styling for classy water travel on a budget.
At 28 feet, 6 inches with a 102-inch beam, the Adventure Craft is rated for 150 maximum horsepower providing more than enough power to cruise the open water or quietly glide through shallow channels. Fed by a single 40-gallon fuel tank, the Adventure Craft's standard 130HP Honda outboard provides excellent fuel-efficiency for day-long pleasure. I can run FULL THROTTLE on 6-8 gallons an hour and the boat maneuvers in shallow fishing waters. I can easily go 3-4 weekends on one tank of fuel if I am not travelling long distances.
Although efficiencies are commonplace on-board the Adventure Craft, the best value is found in its expansive cabin. With nearly 7 feet of headroom throughout the cabin and eight large screened windows, the generous enclosure provides a breezy, inviting escape from the mid-day sun or the windows can be closed and the air conditioning offers luxury on the go. While inside, you can enjoy four seated lounge areas complete with swivel base dining tables. Abundant storage space can be found under and behind each seat cushion for clothes, life jackets, fishing rods or other travel gear. A compact galley conveniently splits each lounge area and includes a 2.2-cu.-ft. refrigerator, stainless steel sink and dry storage space. I also have a flat screen TV with built in DVD Player that will convey with the boat.
Opposite the galley, a full stand-up shower and marine head share mid-ship space. Outfitted with a 20-gallon fresh water tank and 15-gallon waste water tank, you can travel to your destination with complete comfort in mind. At night, the forward and aft lounge areas easily and quickly convert into two separate sleeping compartments for up to 4 adults. For privacy, color coordinated curtains snap install on both doors, all windows and in-between sleeping areas. Feel right at home in the comfort of your Adventure Craft.
If you're the captain, you'll enjoy the freedom to navigate your favorite waters from inside the cabin or high above on the flybridge. A dual-helm design allows the captain to operate the Adventure Craft from high-back swivel chairs inside or out. Each helm includes hydraulic steering, throttle controls and complete instrumentation. Radio communications and stereo system are located above the helm in the for cabin area. The flybridge helm provides unobstructed, 360-degree views for excellent navigability. For added comfort against intense sun, an all-weather fabric bimini cover easily deploys above the helm and offers stand-up height. The flybridge also includes a spacious sun deck with mold-in tanning platforms, a 3000 Watt Honda Generator and an AC unit with heater. The 3000 Watt generator sips gas and easily runs everything on the boat to include the hot water heater. I can run the AC and all accessories for 10 hours on 3.5 gallons of gasoline; it can run longer if you are not running the AC.
Highlighting this Adventure Craft's smooth lines is its cathedral trimaran hull. This patented designs are unique as the boat itself. Unlike other keeled vessels, the Adventure Craft trimaran hull provides unmatched stability in all conditions and its broad 102" beam brings peace of mind on rough water. With only a 12-inch draft, this Adventure Craft is designed for maneuverability in shallow water. The one-piece fiberglass hull provides superior durability and can safely withstand controlled "beaching" on sandy shoals. With pinpoint control in skinny water, the Adventure Craft provides anglers with access to even the most secluded fishing holes (I have three rod holders mounted on the boat). The Adventure Craft also includes handy starboard and port side deckwalks. These 6-inch wide accessways around the perimeter of the boat make mooring or general maintenance a snap! In addition, stainless steel railings and grab handles abound for safety and security while moving up or down the deckwalks. Other exterior features include snap-on seat floatation cushions, bow and stern seat storage compartments, a port side swim ladder and a flybridge access ladder. By the
flybridge access ladder I have an aftermarket rail-mounted gas grill for cooking your favorite foods on the go or while anchored.
Equipped with a tandem-axle, aluminum trailer, this Adventure Craft is securely cradled for safe, over-the-road hauling.
